quiz Selection Process FAQ

What happens during the AFSB psychological tests?

The psychological tests are designed to assess your personality traits and alignment with Officer Like Qualities (OLQs). They typically involve writing stories based on ambiguous pictures, word association tests, and situation reaction tests.

Are the medical standards stricter for the Flying Branch?

Yes. Flying branch candidates must meet stringent physical requirements, particularly concerning vision (e.g., no glasses allowed for fighter pilots, strict limits on myopia/hypermetropia for transport/helicopters) and anthropometric measurements (leg length, sitting height) to ensure compatibility with aircraft cockpits and ejection seats.

Can I apply for multiple branches through AFCAT?

Yes, during the application process, you can provide preferences for different branches (Flying, Ground Duty Technical, Ground Duty Non-Technical) provided you meet the specific educational eligibility criteria for each.
